If after we have received the information in step 1 we deem a survey is necessary, we will arrange for one of our experts to visit you on site. A report of our findings will then be sent along with your full quotation.
When we carry out an installation, we guarantee three things: the work is done to a high standard, it's completed quickly, usually within one to three days, and your property is left exactly as we found it.
You'll receive a 3-year warranty on all parts of your Stormguard Floodplan protection, plus a certificate detailing the work done for your insurance company to reassess your premiums.
Flood barriers are fitted directly to doorways and other openings, creating a watertight seal that stops water from entering your property. Each barrier is measured, made and fitted on site, meaning it’s built to match your exact opening rather than a standard size. Quick to install and simple to deploy when a flood warning is issued.
Installed beneath the floor in a sealed chamber, that allows surface water runoff to be captured if needed. A sump pump automatically kicks in when water is detected, it then removes ground water and flood water before it causes damage. Capable of pumping thousands of gallons per hour, sump pumps are particularly valuable for properties with basements or those affected by ground water & rising water tables. We can accommodate for areas with power outages, using battery back up systems.
The Stormguard Floodplan system of flood fencing works by combining PVC fencing with patented flood seals. The strong PVC boards and posts provide significant protection to the lateral force generated by a flood. These posts and boards are dug in under the ground to ensure the best possible strength.
The boards are then sealed with our own watertight insulation which prevents water from getting through the gaps in the fencing. Tests have shown that the fencing is highly resilient to flood water and can stop flooding up to 1.8 metres (6 feet) in height.
Standard air bricks allow ventilation into your property, but during a flood they can also let water straight in. Our Flood Angel air bricks replace existing vents and allow normal airflow while automatically sealing shut when flood water is detected. Available in a range of colours to suit your home.
Tanking is a waterproof membrane applied to basement walls and floors, designed to stop water entering from below or seeping in as the surrounding water table rises. It’s particularly important for properties with basements that are vulnerable to ground water. Tanking is a great solution when making a uninhabitable space, habitable alongside the use of automatic sump pump systems. Example: unused garages, basements etc.
When drainage systems become overwhelmed during a flood, sewage can back up into a property through toilets, sinks and shower outlets. Our fully automatic back water valves for outlet pipes and non-return valves for sewage defence, create a permanent barrier against this kind of backflow, protecting your property when in flood.
Our Vaxseal waterproof sealant is applied to exterior brick and stonework to prevent water seeping through when standing water is present during flood (up to 12 hours). Clear, breathable and an effective life span of up to five years, it works well alongside other flood defences.
